Record TDS your customers deduct, without breaking your invoices
Last reviewed by the Agency Cloud team at Nilede Technologies
Short answer
Indian customers often deduct TDS before paying a service invoice. In Agency Cloud you record the cash received and the TDS deducted on the same payment. Together they settle the invoice, the invoice shows TDS deducted under the total, and the income report lists TDS deducted by customers separately, ready for your accountant.
- Cash and TDS recorded on one payment
- Suggested at 10% of the amount before tax, and editable
- Shown on the invoice and on the customer statement
- Its own line in the income report
Does TDS count as money received?
No. Payments received and cash figures count only the cash. TDS settles the invoice balance but is kept apart, so your cash and your receivables stay accurate.
Questions
Does Agency Cloud file TDS returns or check Form 26AS?
No. It records the TDS against your invoices. Matching it with your tax credit statement stays with your accountant.
